Website Design
Website design is a unique subset of graphic design in that the canvas isn't as easy to work with. Unlike print design where whatever is created can be printed on paper, with web design, complex knowledge of browser support for various features and functionality must be taken into account. Without a solid background in standards compliant HTML & CSS development, it can be very easy for an inexperienced graphic designer to make something that is beautiful, but ultimately impractical in the web medium.
